Nominee Founder

The person who authorizes registration of a Private Interest Foundation is called a Founder. As the Founder’s name appears in the Charter (ie the document which is filed with the registry giving birth to the Foundation) some clients prefer for Privacy reasons to have us supply a “Nominee” Founder. As most Foundation jurisdictions allow certain rights to be reserved to the Founder where we supply a Nominee Founder we can also supply you with a document enabling certain key rights to be reserved to you as the “underlying” Founder (eg the right to change beneficiaries, the right to authorize or veto payments to certain beneficiaries, the right to choose the Foundation’s investment adviser etc.)
